To TVPI company ditch user,
The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CTCR) have funded $25,000 for the first half of a feasibility study for irrigation delivery upgrades on the Twisp Valley Power and Irrigation companies open canal. Methow Salmon Recovery Foundation is sub-contracting Lichen Inc and Resource Specialist Inc (RSI) to do the study. MSRF has worked with engineers from RSI and geomorphologists from Lichen on multiple projects in the valley, including open canal upgrades. They plan to attend our annual meeting in Twisp in March 2025, time/date is TBD.
MSRF will update the TVPI board of directors on the progress of the first phase and scope of the second phase in January 2025 after which they will be submitting a scope of work and budget for the second half of the study to CTCR in January 2025. There is high confidence CTCR will fund the second half of the study. The recently received grant ends June 26, 2025, so some of the work in this first phase will be done after our annual March meeting. The intention is to continue the study seamlessly Summer and Fall of 2025 once the second half funding is awarded.
Sincerely,
Camden Shaw
